Top 15 Best-Selling Passenger Car Brands in Egypt in May 2026

The Egyptian Compulsory Vehicle Insurance Association released its monthly report detailing new passenger car sales in Egypt for May 2026. The report highlighted the top-selling car brands, with Nissan maintaining its lead as in recent months.

Approximately 20,908 passenger cars were registered in Egypt during May, marking a 9% decrease compared to April.

Top-Selling Car Brands in May

The ranking of the most registered and sold car brands is as follows:

• Nissan: 2,383 cars, including 1,917 units of the Nissan Sunny.

• Chery: 1,525 cars, with the Arrizo 5 accounting for 387 units.

• Jetour: 1,503 cars.

• Hyundai: 1,192 cars.

• MG: 1,122 cars.

• Soueast: 948 cars.

• Kia: 836 cars.

• Changan: 834 cars.

• Toyota: 732 cars.

• Chevrolet: 722 cars.

• Mercedes: 667 cars.

• Skoda: 631 cars.

• Volkswagen: 617 cars.

• Geely: 508 cars.

• Renault: 447 cars.

Passenger Car Sales by Model Year

Passenger car sales for 2026 models reached 15,487 units, while 3,150 vehicles from 2027 models were registered. Models from 2023, 2024, and 2025 were also included in the reported figures.
