3,176 vehicles in a single month. Chevrolet topped the list of best-selling car brands in Egypt during May, capturing a 19% market share according to the latest AMIC report. The market moved fast, and competition between the top ten brands was fierce.
Rankings from first to fifth
Chery came second with a 12% share, selling 1,966 cars. Nissan ranked third at 11%, with 1,867 units. Hyundai placed fourth at 8%, moving 1,402 vehicles. MG took fifth with an 8% share as well, but only 1,275 cars. The gap between third and fourth isn't huge, but it reflects shifting demand in the Egyptian market.
From sixth to tenth
Toyota landed sixth at 7%, with 1,244 units. Changan took seventh at 5%, selling 772 cars. King Long came eighth at 3%, with 588 vehicles. BAIC placed ninth at 3% as well, but only 507 units.
