Top 10 Best-Selling Car Brands in Egypt for May 2026

The Egyptian automotive market recorded sales of 56,141 vehicles in May 2026, according to the Egyptian Compulsory Vehicle Insurance Association. The report covers sales across passenger cars, commercial vehicles, buses, and other types.

Despite an 11% decline compared to April, which saw 62,800 vehicles licensed, Nissan continued to lead as the best-selling car brand in Egypt.

Sales Breakdown by Model Year

Sales of 2026 passenger car models reached 41,952 units, while 4,687 units of 2027 models were registered during the same period.

Vehicle Sales by Category

The report also categorized sales as follows: motorcycles totaled 30,623 units, down 13% from April; passenger cars reached 20,908 units, down 9%; while commercial vehicles rose to 2,387 units, an increase of 6%.

The ranking of the best-selling car brands in Egypt for May 2026 was: 1- Nissan 2,429 units, 2- Chevrolet 2,384 units, 3- Chery 1,527 units, 4- JETOUR 1,503 units, 5- Hyundai 1,194 units, 6- MG 1,122 units, 7- Toyota 997 units, 8- SWM 938 units, 9- Kia 836 units, 10- Changan 834 units.
