Modern Motors, the official local distributor of Suzuki in Egypt, has introduced the new Suzuki Alto as the cheapest brand-new car in the Egyptian market, priced under EGP 540,000. The car is powered by a 998cc three-cylinder petrol engine producing 67 horsepower and 89 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox sending power to the front wheels.
Dimensions and Practicality of the Alto 2027
The Alto falls into the compact five-door hatchback segment, measuring 3530mm in length, 1490mm in width, and 1520mm in height, with a wheelbase spanning 2380mm. It seats five passengers and offers a 214-liter trunk — adequate for daily errands — along with a 27-liter fuel tank.
Safety and Comfort Features
The new Suzuki Alto comes with a suite of safety systems, including six airbags, ABS with electronic stability control (ESP), rear parking sensors, an engine immobilizer, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and a child safety lock.
Comfort features include manual air conditioning, front electric windows, central locking with remote key, a 12V power outlet, a audio system with two front speakers, halogen headlights, and 13-inch steel wheels.
With these specifications, the Alto targets first-time buyers, especially amid rising car prices in Egypt. It offers an economical daily driver with low running costs and readily available spare parts thanks to Suzuki's strong market presence.
Competition in this segment is intensifying, with Chery and Changan offering alternatives. Yet the Alto's competitive pricing and brand heritage give it a distinct edge.
