Speeding and Sudden Lane Changes Could Lead to Fines of Up to EGP 10,000 During Summer Travel Season

These offenses not only endanger road users but can also result in fines reaching EGP 10,000.

Traffic Law Penalties

According to Article 70 Bis (Second Paragraph) of the Traffic Law, a driver who violates the designated lane or exceeds the prescribed speed limit is subject to a fine ranging from EGP 2,000 to EGP 10,000. The measure is part of ongoing efforts to reduce road accidents and enhance public safety.
