Soueast S08 Nears Egypt Debut as New 7-Seat Family SUV Enters the Competition

Man East, the local distributor of Chinese brand Soueast in Egypt, is preparing to launch the new Soueast S08 in the coming weeks. The model will make its first appearance in the Egyptian market as a seven-seat family-oriented SUV.

The arrival of the Soueast S08 comes at a time when demand for larger vehicles with advanced features continues to grow in the local market, positioning the model as a potential strong contender in its segment.

Powertrain and Performance

In global markets, the Soueast S08 is equipped with a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain that combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with an electric motor. According to manufacturer data, the system delivers a total output of approximately 255 kW, equivalent to around 340 horsepower, along with about 525 Nm of torque.

Dimensions and Space

The SUV features dimensions that reflect its family-focused character, measuring 4,810 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, and 1,705 mm in height. Its wheelbase extends to 2,820 mm.

Safety and Driver Assistance Systems

The Soueast S08 is equipped with a range of safety and driver-assistance technologies, including multiple airbags, ABS and ESP electronic stability systems, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, safe-exit warning, and semi-autonomous driving support features.

Inside, the cabin incorporates modern technology, highlighted by a large central touchscreen and an advanced infotainment system with smart smartphone connectivity. Higher-spec variants also feature a 360-degree surround-view camera system.
