Social Protection Convoy Reaches 20 Villages in Fayoum Supporting 10,000 Families

Following the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to intensify social protection efforts, the "Tahya Misr" Fund launched a social protection convoy in Fayoum Governorate, targeting 10,000 underprivileged families across 20 villages. The initiative is carried out in cooperation with the Salah El-Din Association in Fayoum, offering an integrated package of humanitarian and social services aimed at improving living standards and alleviating burdens on citizens.

Convoy Overview and Inspection

The convoy's activities were inspected by Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghanem, Governor of Fayoum, Dr. Mohamed El-Touni, Deputy Governor, Mr. Mohsen Rabie, Head of the Regional Union of NGOs in Fayoum, and Counselor Ahmed Maher, President of the Court of Appeal, alongside leaders from Tahya Misr Fund and civil society representatives. Mr. Tamer Abdel Fattah, Executive Director of Tahya Misr Fund, emphasized that this convoy is part of the fund's strategy to expand social protection coverage and strengthen partnerships with state institutions and civil society organizations.

"Farha Store" Exhibition: 100,000 Free Items

The convoy featured the "Farha Store" exhibition, which includes about 100,000 various items such as clothing, shoes, accessories, furniture, children's toys, and school supplies. Abdel Fattah explained that each family can select 14 pieces for free according to their needs, ensuring fair and flexible fulfillment of family requirements.

Support for Brides-to-Be and Persons with Disabilities

The convoy also supported underprivileged girls about to get married, facilitating the marriage of 10 girls by providing part of their wedding supplies, aiming to reduce financial burdens on their families and promote family stability. In a move to support persons with disabilities, 15 wheelchairs were distributed to enhance their mobility, independence, and integration into society.

Food Aid and Updated Database System

Food support was provided through the distribution of 1.5 tons of meat along with dry food supplies, as part of a comprehensive system to meet basic needs. Abdel Fattah confirmed that the distribution process relied on updated databases for 2026, supported by accurate social research, to ensure aid reaches its rightful beneficiaries and achieves the highest levels of social justice and equal opportunities.
