Penalties for Repeat Offences

The law further states that penalties are not limited to the first offence. If the same violation is repeated within six months of a final conviction, the penalty is doubled. In the event of a third repetition, the punishment increases to imprisonment for up to one year, with a fine ranging from 1000 to 5000 pounds, or either of these penalties.
