Proton Saga Price Hikes by EGP 10,000 in Egypt During July
El Aref El Swaedy Investments and Alpha Group Limited, the exclusive distributor of Proton in Egypt, have announced a price increase of EGP 10,000 for the family sedan Saga during July. This adjustment is part of ongoing price revisions in the local automotive market, affecting buyers seeking an economical and practical vehicle.
New Pricing Structure
According to the latest official price list from the local distributor, the locally assembled Proton Saga, available in a single trim level, has risen to EGP 685,000 from EGP 670,000. The car targets a wide range of customers thanks to its practical design and competitive pricing, positioning it as a strong contender in the economy sedan segment within the Egyptian market.
Engine and Performance Specifications
The Proton Saga is powered by a naturally aspirated 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine, producing 95 horsepower and a peak torque of 120 Nm. It is paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission, offering balanced performance suitable for daily urban commutes and highway driving, while maintaining moderate fuel efficiency that meets driver expectations for cost-effectiveness.
Dimensions and Interior Space
The Proton Saga measures 4,200 mm in length, 1,600 mm in width, and 1,500 mm in height, with a ground clearance of 171 mm, providing good capability on rough roads. The car offers a rear storage capacity of up to 413 liters, making it a practical choice for small families or everyday errands requiring luggage and shopping transportation.
