Port Said Customs Car Auction Set for August 13
A new date for car enthusiasts. Egypt's General Authority for Government Services announced a massive public auction of used cars from Port Said Customs, scheduled for August 13. The vehicles on offer are limited to passenger cars and scooters — no trucks or buses this time around.
The list delivers surprises. Major brands like Hyundai and Kia dominate the lineup, with models including Avante and Tucson from Hyundai, plus K3, Morning, Soul, and Sorento from Kia. Potential buyers have a real shot at competitive pricing.
A Diverse Range of Vehicles
But it's not just two brands. Daewoo Lacetti, Chevrolet Trax, Mini Cooper, Toyota Yaris, Mercedes, and Skoda Octavia are all in the mix. Honda motorcycles are there too. The variety is substantial, and the market is moving.
What about the conditions? The tender book costs 400 EGP, available at the authority's offices in the Ministry of Finance towers — Ramses Street extension, Tower 2. The auction session takes place at the Club of Civilizations sports hall on Salah Salem Street, opposite Ein El-Sira traffic office, at 12 PM sharp.
Payment and Deposit Details
The numbers are clear. The entry deposit is 50,000 EGP. Upon winning, 30% of the price is due immediately, with the remainder paid within 15 days. Inspection is open to all, and any discrepancies — well, the buyer bears full responsibility.
