A major public auction is heading to Cairo, and car enthusiasts have reason to pay attention. The General Authority for Government Services, affiliated with Egypt's Ministry of Finance, has announced the sale of several passenger car and scooter lots sourced from Port Said Customs confiscated, abandoned, and neglected inventory. The sale will take place through a public auction featuring a wide range of global brands.

Auction Date and Venue

The auction session is scheduled for Thursday, August 13, at 12 noon, hosted at the Al Hadarat Sports Club hall on Salah Salem Street, opposite Ein El Sira traffic office in Cairo. The Central Sales Authority oversees the sale and manages the entire process.

Cars Available for Sale

The list includes passenger cars and scooters from multiple brands. Hyundai appears in the auction with Avante and Tucson models, while Kia participates with four models: K3, Morning, Soul, Forte, and Sorento. Other brands include Daewoo Lacetti, Chevrolet Trax, Mini Cooper, Toyota Yaris, Mercedes, Skoda Octavia, and Honda.

The auction supervision committee stated that all vehicles come in various makes, models, and trims, and the sale will follow the conditions outlined in the tender booklet, which contains full details.

Participation and Deposit Conditions

Interested bidders must purchase the tender booklet for EGP 400, sold at the General Authority for Government Services offices in the Ministry of Finance towers on Ramses Street extension, Tower 2. The booklet fee is non-refundable even if no lot is won.

The auction entry deposit is set at EGP 50,000, and successful bidders must pay 30% of the lot value immediately upon auction award, with the remaining balance due within 15 days from the auction date. Companies and entities must provide a tax card or commercial registry, while individuals only need to present their national ID card.
