Mansour Automotive, the exclusive dealer for Opel in Egypt, has officially launched the new Opel Frontera in the local market. This marks the first time the German brand offers a seven-seat model in Egypt, aiming at families looking for an SUV that combines space, practicality, and modern features. The car is available in a single trim level.

The price stands at EGP 1,190,000, a figure that positions it directly against other family-oriented SUVs in the same segment. Opel Frontera joins the Opel lineup in the sports utility vehicle category, giving the brand a fresh presence within the family car segment featuring a third row of seats.

Seven Seats for the First Time

The seven seats are the strongest selling point for the new Opel Frontera in Egypt. The cabin adapts easily to daily use and family trips, with rear seats that fold to reconfigure space between passengers and luggage. Cargo capacity starts at 40 liters with all seven seats in use, grows to 460 liters in five-seat mode. Expands to 1600 liters with the rear seats folded flat.

That flexibility gives the car genuine utility for families and long journeys. Medhat Awad, Head of the Opel Brand Unit, said the Frontera launch marks an important addition to the brand's portfolio in Egypt, especially as the first seven-seat Opel in the local market. He added that the car targets diverse customer needs through a practical design, a spacious cabin. Features that make daily driving comfortable.

Turbo Engine with 130 Horsepower

Under the hood sits a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine producing 130 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox. The top speed reaches 190 km/h, while average fuel consumption is rated at 6.1 liters per 100 km, with a 44-liter fuel tank.

Dimensions measure 4385 mm in length, 1795 mm in width. 1627 mm in height, with a wheelbase stretching 2675 mm. Awad emphasized that the new Frontera reflects Opel's vision of merging modern design, technology, and practical value. He confirmed Mansour Automotive will continue strengthening the brand's presence in Egypt with models tailored to local buyers. The car is now available at authorized showrooms, ready for real-world testing by Egyptian families.
