October Bridge: Traffic Congestion from Giza to Downtown and Slow Movement from Tahrir to Nasr City
Cairo and Giza's main axes witnessed moderate and moving traffic densities this morning, with traffic services deployed to ensure citizen safety, facilitate vehicle movement, and guide drivers to alternative routes.
Cairo Axes
Slow traffic was observed on the October Bridge for vehicles coming from Giza towards Downtown, as well as for those heading from Tahrir to Nasr City, and on the suspended bridge section up to Ramses. The Salah Salem axis also experienced slowdowns for traffic coming from the October Bridge towards Al-Tayaran, and from Al-Qalaa to Al-Fustat.
Relative vehicle movement was seen in Downtown areas, with regular traffic flow around Tahrir Square and the Nile Corniche. Moving densities appeared on Abbas Al-Akkad axes in Nasr City, Martyr Hisham Barakat Square, and extending to the Ring Road.
Slow traffic was also reported on the Ring Road in Al-Marj areas, from Al-Munib to the Autostrad and the Fifth Settlement.
Giza Axes
Traffic slowdowns were observed at Mustafa Mahmoud Square, Sudan Street, Al-Batal Ahmed Abdel Aziz Street, Sphinx Square, and Al-Haram Street due to construction work. The 26th of July Corridor experienced slow movement for vehicles coming from Lebanon Square towards 6th of October areas, while traffic flow was regular on Al-Bahr Al-Azam axis and in Dokki and Agouza areas.
