Nissan Leads Egypt's Passenger Car Registrations in June with Strong Sunny Performance
Data released by the Egyptian Compulsory Vehicle Insurance Pool reveals that Nissan topped the passenger car registration list in the Egyptian market during June, with 2,099 licensed cars. The strong performance was driven by the Sunny model, which alone accounted for 1,748 registrations, representing over 83% of the Japanese brand's total for the month.
Top Rankings and Key Models
Chery secured second place with 1,443 cars, led by the Arrizo 5 model which contributed 325 units. Hyundai ranked third with 1,332 registrations, and the Elantra was the top model with 594 cars.
Jetour, MG, and SourEast Middle Positions
Jetour placed fourth with 1,198 cars, and the X70 Plus recorded 228 units. MG came fifth with 1,191 cars, driven by the ZS model at 472 units. Soueast ranked sixth with 1,129 cars, boosted by the S05 which accounted for 654 registrations.
Kia took seventh place with 881 cars, while the Seltos model recorded 90 units. Chevrolet ranked eighth with 805 cars, and the locally assembled Optra was the second most registered passenger car overall with 731 units, following the Nissan Sunny.
Lower Half Rankings from Ninth to Fifteenth
Mercedes-Benz placed ninth with 721 registrations, and Toyota came tenth with 700. Changan was eleventh with 693 cars, just one unit ahead of Geely at 692 in twelfth place.
Skoda registered 656 cars for thirteenth place, Volkswagen recorded 567 in fourteenth, and Renault finished fifteenth with 525 registrations during June, according to official data.
