Nissan Leads the Pack: 15% Market Share in April
Nissan has clinched the top spot in Egypt's passenger car sales for April, capturing a 15% market share with 1,726 vehicles sold, according to the latest report from the Automotive Market Information Council (AMIC). This strong performance underscores Nissan's continued appeal in the Egyptian market, driven by a robust lineup and extensive service network. The figures reflect sustained demand for Nissan models amid a competitive landscape.
Competitors Close Behind: Chery, MG, and Chevrolet
In second place, Chery secured a nearly identical 15% market share with 1,720 units sold, just six vehicles shy of the leader. MG ranked third with a 10% share, totaling 1,163 units. Chevrolet followed in fourth place with an 8% share, selling 866 vehicles, while Changan came in fifth with an 8% share and 849 units sold.
Toyota, Hyundai, and Renault: Fierce Competition in the Middle of the Pack
Toyota claimed sixth place with a 7% market share, selling 773 vehicles. Hyundai secured seventh place with a 6% share, moving 708 units. Renault followed in eighth with a 6% share and 626 vehicles sold. Kia took ninth place with a 3% share, totaling 330 units.
Peugeot Closes Out the Top Ten
Peugeot rounded out the top ten best-selling passenger car brands in Egypt for April, capturing a 3% market share with 300 vehicles sold. The data highlights intense competition among Chinese, Korean, and European brands in the Egyptian market, with Japanese automakers Nissan and Toyota maintaining a strong presence at the top of the sales chart.
