The Nissan Sunny has topped the list of best-selling locally assembled cars in Egypt during April, recording sales of 1,354 units according to the latest report from the Automotive Market Information Council. This strong performance reflects continued high demand for the sedan model, which is produced at Nissan's local assembly facility, reinforcing its position as a preferred choice among Egyptian consumers seeking an economical and reliable vehicle.

Top Positions in Sales Ranking

The Chevrolet Optra secured second place on the list of best-selling locally assembled cars in April, with sales reaching 849 units. The locally produced Chevrolet model continues to maintain a strong presence in the Egyptian market, thanks to its competitive pricing and availability of spare parts. The Hyundai Elantra AD came in third place with 467 vehicles sold, confirming the ongoing popularity of Hyundai's locally assembled models among customers.

Fourth place went to the Changan CS55 Plus, which recorded sales of 450 units, demonstrating the growing presence of the Chinese brand in the Egyptian car market through modern crossover models equipped with advanced technology. This ranking highlights the diversity of options available to consumers, with both sedan and crossover models competing strongly in the local market.

Chery Dominates Lower Rankings

Chery models dominated the rankings from fifth to ninth positions, reflecting their widespread adoption in the Egyptian market. The Chery Arrizo 5 claimed fifth place with 405 units sold, followed by the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro in sixth place with 384 vehicles, and the Chery Tiggo 8 in seventh place with 212 units.

Chery's success streak continued with the Chery Arrizo 6 securing eighth place after selling 203 cars, followed by the Chery Tiggo 7 in ninth place with 173 vehicles. These figures indicate that the Chery group has successfully built a broad customer base in Egypt, particularly in the economical sedan and crossover segments that meet the needs of a large consumer demographic.

Tenth Place and Ongoing Competition

The Citroen C4X rounded out the top ten list of best-selling locally assembled cars in Egypt during April, with sales reaching 97 vehicles. The French model stands out with its modern design that blends sedan and coupe lines, giving it a distinctive presence in the market. This report shows that Egypt's locally assembled car market is witnessing fierce competition among different brands, with consumers continuing to favor locally assembled vehicles due to their competitive prices and ease of maintenance.
