Nissan Egypt is preparing to officially launch the locally assembled Nissan Magnite in the Egyptian market on July 25. During the event, the company will reveal official prices and available trims for the first time, following the first unit rolling off the production line at its plant in 6th of October City. This makes it the first vehicle of this model to be manufactured in Africa.

Compact Crossover Segment and Local Production

The Nissan Magnite belongs to the compact crossover category and relies on local manufacturing with a local content ratio exceeding 55%. This approach is part of Nissan's strategy to expand production within the Egyptian market, enhancing spare parts availability and supporting the local industry. The vehicle combines modern design with fuel efficiency, making it an attractive option in the compact crossover segment.

Engine, Performance, and Dimensions

The Nissan Magnite is powered by a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine, producing 99 horsepower and 152 Nm of torque. This powertrain delivers suitable performance for daily city driving and highway commutes, with a focus on fuel economy. The vehicle measures 3994 mm in length, 1758 mm in width, and 1572 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2500 mm and a ground clearance of 205 mm, offering good capability on unpaved roads.

Cargo Space and Fuel Efficiency

The Magnite offers 336 liters of rear cargo space, expandable to 690 liters with the rear seats folded. It comes with a 40-liter fuel tank and an average fuel consumption of 17.9 km per liter, making it an economical choice in its class. These specifications position the vehicle as a practical option for small families and individuals seeking a versatile crossover.

Interior Features and Safety

The cabin is equipped with a 7-inch infotainment screen, electric power steering, ABS with EBD, and Eco Scoring and Eco Coaching systems to help improve driving habits and reduce fuel consumption. Safety-wise, the Nissan Magnite comes with six airbags, electronic stability control (ESP), and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). These features position the vehicle as a strong contender in the locally assembled compact car segment.

Exterior Design and Contemporary Touches

The Nissan Magnite features a modern design that blends sporty and practical elements, with LED headlights and taillights, 16-inch sport alloy wheels, and 195/60 R16 tires. It also sports a honeycomb front grille with chrome accents, giving it a distinctive appearance in its class. The vehicle is expected to attract strong interest in the Egyptian market thanks to its local assembly and advanced specifications, especially amid competition from other locally assembled crossover models. Final pricing will be announced during the launch event on July 25.
