New Suez Industrial Zone Gets 2,064 Light Poles Upgraded to Boost Truck Traffic Safety
The Egyptian Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, led by Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, has overseen infrastructure upgrades in the industrial zones of Sadat City and New Suez City. These efforts are part of a broader plan to enhance road networks and utilities, directly supporting transportation and logistics services tied to industrial activities.
Road Network Improvements for Commercial Vehicles
The Minister emphasized that upgrading internal road networks and axes within industrial zones facilitates the movement of trucks and commercial vehicles, boosting cargo transport efficiency. She noted that these enhancements increase the competitiveness of these zones and attract more local and foreign investments.
Infrastructure Projects in Sadat and New Suez
The scope of work includes monitoring road efficiency projects in the Sixth and Seventh Industrial Zones in Sadat City, as well as inspecting water systems, industrial drainage, and treatment plants in New Suez City to ensure sustainable support services for the industrial sector.
Nighttime Visibility and Safety Upgrades
As part of the upgrades, the public lighting system along main axes and industrial areas in New Suez has been modernized. This includes maintaining 24 lighting fixtures, upgrading 2,064 light poles, and replacing traditional lamps with high-efficiency LED units. The new lighting enhances road safety and improves nighttime visibility on routes heavily used by trucks and commercial vehicles.
These projects are part of the state's ongoing efforts to upgrade industrial zone infrastructure, improve transportation and logistics flows, and support industrial expansion and economic development plans.
