New-Generation Citroen C5 Aircross Set for Debut in the Egyptian Market

Kasrawy Group, the official Citroen distributor in Egypt, is preparing to introduce the all-new second-generation Citroen C5 Aircross to the Egyptian market for the first time in the coming period. The first-generation model was launched in 2019 and received a facelift in 2022, while the new generation is scheduled to be unveiled on May 16.

New Platform and Hybrid Powertrains

The new Citroen C5 Aircross is available globally with both conventional hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains and is built on the STLA Medium platform. The latest generation adopts a sharper, more premium design with stronger muscular styling compared to the rounded appearance of its predecessor.

The vehicle shares its platform with the Jeep Compass, Opel Grandland, Peugeot 3008, and Peugeot 5008, helping improve electric driving range while increasing interior space.

Larger Dimensions and Improved Cabin Space

The second-generation model features a 60 mm longer wheelbase and an overall length increase of 150 mm. Inside, the cabin focuses on comfort with a 13-inch display and a head-up display system.

A hybrid powertrain is also available, producing 143 hp from a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine paired with an electric system.

Design Inspired by the Concept Vehicle

The exterior design draws inspiration from the concept vehicle revealed by Citroen at the 2024 Munich Motor Show. Key highlights include a completely redesigned front fascia, new headlamp styling, updated daytime running lights, and a redesigned front bumper.

The exterior package is completed by newly designed 20-inch alloy wheels that enhance the SUV's modern and dynamic appearance.

Comprehensively Updated Interior

Inside, the cabin has undergone extensive revisions to deliver a more upscale experience. A customizable central display takes center stage, while many traditional physical controls have been replaced with touchscreen functionality.

The 13-inch central display is the largest screen ever offered in a Citroen model.

Hybrid Drivetrain Choices

The 2025 Citroen C5 Aircross is offered with two hybrid drivetrain options: a mild-hybrid system and a plug-in hybrid system.
