New Cairo Leads Zero Registration and El Salloum Receives 16K Vehicles in July
Impressive numbers hit Egypt's car market last July. The New Cairo traffic unit topped the list of units issuing new vehicle "zero" licenses with 2,383 vehicles, according to the report from the Egyptian Company for Mandatory Vehicle Insurance. The ranking didn't stop there.
Traffic Unit Rankings Details
The Nasr City traffic unit came second with 1,564 vehicles, while Faisal ranked third with a total of 1,508 vehicles. The Abis traffic unit ranked fourth with 1,461 vehicles, confirming these figures show New Cairo's continued dominance among traffic units nationwide.
The numbers reflect significant activity in those areas. Demand for new cars in New Cairo, Nasr City, and Faisal indicates a clear shift in license distribution, with a major concentration in Greater Cairo. But is the movement limited to traffic units only?
Customs Ports and Imports
On the customs ports front, the El Salloum port maintained its lead with a total of 16,001 vehicles, a massive number reflecting its pivotal role in receiving vehicles entering the Egyptian market. The Nuweiba port came second with 2,207 vehicles, a significant gap from El Salloum.
Customs ports are witnessing notable activity in receiving vehicles. These figures reveal continued vehicle flow through the western borders, versus less movement at Nuweiba port on the Red Sea. The distribution of licenses and imports paints a clear picture of the Egyptian market dynamics in this period.
