MG Leads Egypt's Imported Car Sales in April
MG Tops the Market with 17.9% Share
MG has topped the list of best-selling imported car brands in Egypt during April, capturing a market share of 17.9% with a total of 1,163 vehicles sold, according to the latest report from the Automotive Market Information Council (AMIC). This strong performance highlights MG's growing popularity among Egyptian consumers, who are increasingly drawn to the brand's value-for-money offerings and modern designs.
Top Ten Brands Ranking
Toyota secured second place with an 11.4% market share, selling 739 units, followed by Renault in third with 9.6% and 626 vehicles. Changan came fourth with a 6.1% share (399 units), while Nissan ranked fifth with 5.5% (355 cars). In sixth place, Chery achieved 5.3% (342 units), followed by Kia with 5.1% (330 units). Peugeot took eighth place with 4.6% (300 cars), Fiat ninth with 3.9% (255 units), and Hyundai tenth with 3.7% (239 vehicles).
Remaining Rankings and Market Insights
Baic ranked eleventh with a 3.6% market share (237 cars), followed closely by Suzuki in twelfth place with 3.6% (233 units). The close market shares among the top brands indicate a highly competitive landscape in Egypt's imported car segment, with consumers benefiting from a wide range of choices spanning economy, family, and premium segments. The data suggests that brands offering strong value propositions and reliable after-sales service continue to gain traction among Egyptian buyers.
