MG has topped the list of the most registered Chinese car brands in the Egyptian market during the first half of this year, recording 10,007 vehicles across various traffic departments. This strong performance reflects the British-born, Chinese-managed brand's continued appeal among local buyers, particularly in the compact and family car segments.

Competing Chinese Brands Secure Top Ranks

According to the report issued by the Egyptian compulsory vehicle insurance consortium, Chery came in second place after registering 8,947 vehicles, while Jetour ranked third with a total of 7,460 units. Soueast secured fourth place with approximately 5,349 vehicles, further cementing its growing presence in Egypt thanks to its affordable models.

Changan, BAIC, and Geely Occupy Mid-Table Positions

Changan grabbed fifth place with 3,618 registered cars, followed by BAIC in sixth with 3,178 units. Geely came seventh with a total of 2,997 cars, highlighting the fierce competition among major Chinese brands in the local market, which continues to expand its share of Chinese-manufactured vehicles.

BYD, GAC, and Haval Round Out the Top Ten

BYD ranked eighth with 2,398 registered cars, followed by GAC in ninth place with a total of 1,455 units. Haval completed the top ten with 1,353 registered vehicles, underscoring the sustained dominance of Chinese brands in Egypt, backed by competitive pricing and improved after-sales service.

Remaining Rankings Show Competition Among Kaiyi, JAC, and Forthing

Kaiyi came in 11th place with 1,008 registered cars, while JAC ranked 12th with 971 units, followed by Forthing with 970 cars. These figures reflect growing consumer confidence in Chinese automotive brands, driven by attractive price points, availability of spare parts, and expanding dealer networks across Egypt.
