Locally Assembled Cars Lead Passenger and Transport Licensing in Egypt, Outpacing Imports
Locally manufactured vehicles have recently taken the lead in the Egyptian automotive sector, securing the top position in total licensing for both passenger and transport cars, highlighting the significant growth of the domestic automotive industry.
Gamal Fahim, a sales and marketing expert in the automotive sector, noted that recent licensing data reveals strong performance from locally produced models, outperforming many imported vehicles. This success is largely attributed to their consistent market availability and their ability to meet the diverse needs of a wide range of consumers.
Expansion in Local Assembly and Manufacturing
He added that the Egyptian automotive market has witnessed significant expansion in local assembly and manufacturing operations over the past few years. This growth has directly boosted the opportunities for domestic products and increased their market share within the sector.
Fahim emphasized that continuing to support the local automotive industry and increasing the percentage of local components in vehicles plays a pivotal role in enhancing market competitiveness, while also shielding the market from external economic fluctuations and global events.
