According to several car market experts, local assembly has contributed to lowering the final cost of some models by reducing reliance on importing completely built-up units (CBU), which incur higher duties, shipping, and insurance costs compared to components or parts imported for local assembly.

Local manufacturing has also given companies greater flexibility in managing inventory and production according to demand, helping to supply vehicles faster compared to the long waiting periods faced by some fully imported models.
