Lexus RZ Officially Launched in Egypt Starting at EGP 3.5 Million
Toyota Egypt, the official distributor of Lexus in the local market, has officially launched the brand's first fully electric vehicle in Egypt: the Lexus RZ. The model marks Lexus's entry into the Egyptian EV segment, built on the global e-TNGA platform and offered in two distinct trims.
Lexus RZ Pricing in Egypt
The Lexus RZ is available in two variants: the Executive trim priced at EGP 3.5 million, and the Sport trim at EGP 3.85 million. The vehicle comes with an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty on the battery and electric motors, along with a 5-year or 150,000 km warranty on the car itself.
Powertrain and Performance
The Lexus RZ features two electric powertrain options. The Executive trim is equipped with a single electric motor and a 77 kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering 224 horsepower. It offers a driving range of up to 695 km on a single charge and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. The Sport trim, on the other hand, comes with dual electric motors and all-wheel drive, producing a combined 408 horsepower. Its range stands at 450 km per charge, with a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of just 4.4 seconds.
Charging Capabilities
The Lexus RZ can be charged using an AC charger at up to 22 kW, completing a full charge in approximately 3 hours. It also supports fast charging, reaching 80% in about 30 minutes. The all-wheel-drive variant features steer-by-wire technology and a steering wheel inspired by Formula 1 cars, while the Sport trim rides on 20-inch alloy wheels.
Interior Highlights
Inside, the Lexus RZ offers leather and Alcantara upholstery, dynamic ambient lighting, a 14-inch infotainment display, and a dynamic vision system to enhance driver awareness.
Safety and Driver Assistance
The safety suite includes lane tracing assist, lane departure alert, adaptive cruise control, adaptive high-beam headlights, blind spot monitoring, safe exit assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and a pre-collision warning system.
