Industry Minister: Reviewing Financial Solvency of Car Dealers to Ensure After-Sales Service
Engineer Khaled Hashem, Minister of Industry, affirmed that the state is giving significant attention to the file of after-sales services in the local automotive market. He pointed out that the ministry is currently and carefully studying the financial solvency of car dealers and importers to ensure their ability to provide spare parts and the necessary technical services for consumers.
Protecting Consumers and Enhancing Service Quality
Speaking on the sidelines of the third edition of a commercial vehicles exhibition, the Minister of Industry explained that the primary goal of these measures is to protect the Egyptian consumer and improve the quality of services provided in the market. He emphasized that regulating the automotive sector is not limited to controlling import operations, but extends to ensuring that all parties are committed to providing an integrated after-sales service system.
Balancing Consumer Rights and Investors' Interests
He added that this approach aims to ensure market stability and enhance consumer confidence. He noted that the ministry is currently working on establishing clear controls to guarantee service quality and the continuous availability of spare parts, achieving the required balance between the interests of investors and the rights of consumers.
