Locally Assembled Hyundai Venue Set for Official Launch in Egypt at End of August
The Egyptian automotive market is preparing to welcome the new locally assembled Hyundai Venue, with its official launch scheduled for August 31 through its local distributor, Ghabbour Auto. This step is part of the company's strategy to expand local manufacturing, making the Venue the latest crossover SUV to enter local production lines, offering a new alternative in the economy segment.
Hyundai Venue as a Local Alternative to the Hyundai Accent RB
According to a source at Ghabbour Auto, the locally assembled Hyundai Venue will serve as a direct replacement for the Hyundai Accent RB, which is expected to exit the Egyptian market by the end of this year. The Venue targets customers seeking a practical and compact vehicle, characterized by fuel efficiency and ease of city driving, making it an attractive option for a wide range of consumers.
Engine Specifications and Performance
The Hyundai Venue is available in global markets with multiple engine options, most notably a 1.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated engine, paired with either a manual or automatic transmission depending on the trim and market. The vehicle comes with a 45-liter fuel tank, while fuel consumption across global versions ranges from approximately 5.5 to 6.5 liters per 100 kilometers, varying by engine type and transmission. The Venue is one of the smallest crossover SUVs offered by the Korean brand globally, enhancing its appeal for daily use.
Safety and Features
The Hyundai Venue includes a comprehensive set of safety systems, featuring airbags, an Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and an Electronic Brakeforce Distribution system. These features elevate the vehicle's safety level, positioning it competitively in the compact economy segment, especially with the growing demand for locally assembled crossover SUVs in the Egyptian market.
