Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Giza, has announced the implementation of periodic maintenance and efficiency improvement works on several vital axes and bridges by the governorate's Roads Directorate. This initiative is part of a comprehensive plan aimed at preserving infrastructure and enhancing safety and security for citizens, reflecting the governorate's ongoing commitment to development across various sectors.

Paving the May 15 Bridge Ramp and Improving Traffic Flow

The works included paving the ramp of the May 15 Bridge from the Nile Street side in the Agouza district, as part of the Roads Directorate's plan to maintain bridges and improve their efficiency. This measure aims to enhance the technical condition of the road and facilitate traffic flow on one of the main axes that witnesses heavy daily traffic congestion.

Preventive Measures on the Nile Bridge to Protect Citizens

The works also involved protecting and closing the sides with iron fences for some dangerous corridors above the Nile on the sidewalks of the Nile Bridge. These preventive measures are part of the governorate's efforts to preserve citizens' lives and reduce potential risks, providing a safe environment for bridge users, especially in areas with high traffic and pedestrian density.

The Governor of Giza confirmed the continuation of periodic follow-up on maintenance and development works across various sectors of the governorate, with ongoing coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the efficiency of roads and bridges and achieve the highest safety standards for citizens. These steps are part of a broader vision to develop infrastructure in the governorate.
