Giza Governor Inspects Expansion and Development of Kafr Tohormos Street to Ease Traffic
Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Giza, inspected the ongoing expansion and development works on Kafr Tohormos Street and its intersection with Faisal Street, during a field tour on Thursday morning in the Bulaq El-Dakrour district.
The governor stated that the works include widening the road after executing a demolition order for an encroaching wall on the alignment line, in coordination with the relevant authority. The expansion will add 5 meters to the road width along the wall, which extends for 80 meters.
He added that the project will also involve repaving the road and providing a pedestrian sidewalk, along with traffic planning and movement regulation works in cooperation with the Giza Traffic General Administration.
The governor confirmed that these measures will help reduce congestion and improve traffic flow on Kafr Tohormos Street, which is one of the key transverse axes that experiences heavy traffic, especially during peak hours.
Al-Ansari instructed the district head to carry out regular follow-ups and intensify efforts to expedite completion in coordination with the executing company, while preventing waste accumulation and ensuring its periodic removal in collaboration with the General Authority for Cleanliness and Beautification.
