Development and Paving of Airport Street in Giza Begins: 1.5 km to Improve Traffic Flow
Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Giza, announced the start of development and paving works on Airport Street, stretching approximately 1.5 kilometers. The distance extends from the fire station area to the Embaba tunnel, within the districts of Monira El Garbiya and Embaba. This initiative is part of the governorate's plan to upgrade its road network and improve services for residents.
Project Scope and Objectives
The work is being carried out by the governorate's Roads Directorate, covering road paving and upgrading, street lighting improvements. The construction and rehabilitation of pedestrian sidewalks. The main goal is to enhance traffic flow, elevate the urban appearance. Provide a safer environment for citizens. The project marks a significant step in developing infrastructure in the Embaba area.
Execution Oversight and Technical Standards
The governor assigned the Roads Directorate to conduct continuous field monitoring of execution rates and percentages, in compliance with the specified timeline. He also emphasized applying the highest technical and engineering quality standards, ensuring rapid project completion and achieving the intended benefits. Daily monitoring will cover all stages of work.
Eng. Nagwa El-Saeed, Director of the Giza Roads Directorate, confirmed that the directorate has begun implementation according to a defined schedule. Necessary equipment and work crews have already been deployed to the site. All execution phases follow approved technical specifications, with daily follow-up to ensure quality and timely completion. The project encompasses comprehensive street, lighting, and sidewalk improvements.
