Geely Starray Prices Drop by EGP 200,000 in Egypt
Abou Ghaly Motors, the official distributor of Geely vehicles in Egypt, has announced new price reductions for the Geely Starray 2026 during January 2026. The Chinese SUV is currently offered in four trims in the Egyptian market, with discounts reaching up to EGP 200,000, making it one of the latest models to join the ongoing wave of price reductions across the local automotive market.
The updated pricing for the Geely Starray lineup is as follows: Comfort at EGP 1,300,000, Premium at EGP 1,400,000, Sport at EGP 1,500,000, and Sport+ at EGP 1,570,000. The revised pricing aims to strengthen Geely’s competitiveness in the crowded SUV segment, especially as buyers continue searching for modern crossovers with advanced features at more competitive prices.
Geely Starray Built on Volvo XC40 Technology
One of the key highlights of the Geely Starray is its use of the CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform, the same architecture used in the Volvo XC40. This gives the SUV a more premium engineering foundation compared to many competitors in its category, helping Geely position the Starray as a technology-focused family SUV in the Egyptian market.
The model has quickly gained attention among both young drivers and families thanks to its modern design, practical cabin space, and advanced safety equipment.
Geely Starray Engine and Performance Specifications
The Geely Starray comes equipped with a turbocharged powertrain designed to balance performance and efficiency. Engine specifications include a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine producing 172 horsepower and 270 Nm of maximum torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) and front-wheel drive.
The SUV also includes 6 airbags as part of its safety package, enhancing its appeal for family-oriented buyers. As competition intensifies in the Egyptian SUV market, models like the Starray are becoming increasingly attractive for buyers seeking premium-like features without entering higher luxury segments.
