Geely 'Made in Egypt' Models: Prices and Specifications in the Local Market
The numbers are striking. Two Geely models bearing the 'Made in Egypt' badge are now available in the local market, following the expansion of assembly operations by Automobility, the official distributor and exclusive manufacturer for the Chinese brand, at its facilities in 6th of October City. This move signals a clear commitment to deepening local production in Egypt's automotive sector.
Plans for Expanding Local Assembly
Alex Nan, General Manager of GAIC, a subsidiary of the global Geely group, confirmed plans to broaden local assembly operations in partnership with the brand's local agent. The market is moving fast, and the company intends to remain at the heart of this momentum.
Geely Emgrand: A Family Sedan with Strong Specs
The Geely Emgrand 2026 stands as the most affordable offering from the Chinese marque in Egypt this August. This family sedan delivers tough competition in its segment, with features tailored to meet the needs of Egyptian households.
Geely Emgrand Prices in Egypt
Two trim levels are available at clear price points. The standard Comfort version starts at EGP 839,000, while the higher-spec Luxury trim reaches EGP 939,000. The price difference is justifiable given the extra equipment.
Engine and Performance
A 122-horsepower engine gives the Emgrand balanced performance. Torque peaks at 180 Nm, with fuel consumption rated at 5.82 liters per 100 km. A 6-speed automatic gearbox accelerates the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.96 seconds.
The fuel tank holds 50 liters, a sensible figure for long journeys. Dimensions are carefully measured: a length of 4,638 mm, width of 1,822 mm, height of 1,460 mm. A wheelbase of 2,650 mm. Interior space is generous for both front and rear passengers.
