A Three-Way Partnership for Local Assembly
The project is being studied in cooperation between Geely Global, Abu Ghali Motors, and Nasr Company for Automobiles. Three entities have gathered around one table to assess the technical and economic feasibility before any official announcement.
The partnership revives the idea of local manufacturing for Chinese cars in the Egyptian market, aligning with the state's push toward localizing the auto industry. Two ministries are said to be following the file closely.

The second half of 2027 stands as the preliminary date for rolling out the first units from Egyptian assembly lines. Technical studies and model selection for the four vehicles are currently underway.
Geely electric and hybrid cars represent a significant boost for clean energy in Egypt, aligning with the national strategy for green transport. The announced timeline gives local infrastructure time to prepare for electric mobility.
