Geely Egypt Pledges to Honor Original Prices for Existing Reservations

Aut Mobility, the local distributor for Geely in Egypt, has confirmed it will hand over reserved vehicles at the official prices announced at the time of contract signing. The commitment follows a fresh wave of price hikes that hit dozens of models across the Egyptian market in recent days, including several 2027 Geely models assembled locally and imported alike. The numbers tell the story.

What the Price Pledge Means for Geely Buyers

In its statement, the distributor accepted full responsibility for protecting customer rights and meeting their needs amid market volatility. In practice, this means anyone who completed contract procedures before the increases will receive their car at the agreed price, even if official price lists changed afterward. Emgrand 7 and Coolray were at the heart of the recent increases, giving the statement extra weight for buyers of these two models.

Geely 2027 Price Increases in Detail

The official figures confirm that Geely Emgrand 2027 rose by EGP 20,000 across both trims. The Comfort trim now costs EGP 859,000, up from EGP 839,000, while the higher-spec second trim climbed to EGP 959,000 from EGP 939,000. The increase is uniform.

Geely Coolray 2027 saw variable increases across trims. The entry Comfort trim rose to EGP 989,000 from EGP 975,000 — a jump of EGP 14,000. The numbers reflect cost pressure.

How the Increases Affect Reserved Cars

Muntaser Zaitoun, a member of the General Division for Cars at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, explained that the impact depends on each buyer's position. Customers who paid the full value under the old prices won't be affected and will receive their cars at the agreed price. But those who reserved with a deposit or partial payment may be affected, since the new pricing depends on the reservation terms and the contract signed with the distributor or dealer. The equation isn't the same for everyone.
