Top 10 Most Registered European Cars in Egypt in H1 2026
Official data from the Egyptian Compulsory Vehicle Insurance Pool has revealed the list of European automotive brands with the highest registration numbers in the Egyptian market during the first half of the current year. The rankings are based on actual vehicle registrations across various traffic departments, providing a realistic snapshot of European car market activity in Egypt.
Mercedes and Skoda Lead the Pack
Mercedes topped the list of European brands with the most registrations from January to June 2026, recording 4,654 vehicles. Skoda came in a close second with 4,196 registered cars, highlighting the intense competition between the two brands in the Egyptian market.
Renault, Volkswagen, and Peugeot in the Leading Pack
Renault secured the third spot with 3,629 registrations, while Volkswagen followed closely in fourth place with 3,625 cars—a difference of just four units. Peugeot claimed fifth place with 2,613 registered vehicles, reaffirming its steady presence among European brands favored by Egyptian consumers.
Cupra, Citroën, and BMW
Cupra logged 2,059 cars in sixth place, followed by Citroën in seventh with 1,679 units. BMW ranked eighth with 1,617 registered vehicles, positioning it as one of the most widely adopted European luxury brands in Egypt.
Seat and Fiat Close the List
Seat closed the top ten in ninth place with 1,374 registrations, while Fiat took tenth with 1,262 units. These figures reflect the diverse preferences between economical and premium European cars in Egypt, with German and French brands continuing to dominate the landscape.
