Egyptian National Railways Deploys Additional Trains as Services Return to Normal After Eid Holiday
Egyptian National Railways has confirmed that train services across the country are operating normally following the end of the Eid al-Adha holiday, supported by an expanded operational plan designed to facilitate the return of passengers from various governorates and accommodate the significant increase in travel demand.
The authority stated that operations are running smoothly across all railway lines, with additional trains deployed to boost capacity and streamline ticket booking and issuance procedures. Real-time monitoring of train movements continues through operations rooms and control centers located throughout the country.
Maximum Readiness Across Operational Teams
The authority also confirmed that maintenance crews, technical support teams, and engineering personnel have been placed on maximum alert to ensure immediate response to any technical issues or emergency situations, helping maintain operational efficiency during the peak return-travel period.
In addition, security, cleaning, and sanitization services remain in place at stations and onboard trains under the direct supervision of regional management teams. The authority emphasized that all operational and technical sectors are working around the clock to provide safe and comfortable journeys for passengers until they reach their destinations.
