Egypt Vehicle Sales Hit 62.7K Units in April, Nissan Leads the Market
The latest report from the Egyptian Compulsory Motor Insurance Pool has revealed a notable rise in vehicle sales across Egypt during April. The report covers all vehicle categories sold in the domestic market, including passenger cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles, and other types of vehicles.
62.7K New Vehicles Registered in April
Data shows that a total of 62,686 new vehicles were registered in April, marking a growth rate of more than 6% compared to March, which recorded 58,927 new vehicles.
Registration Breakdown by Model Year
New vehicle registrations in Egypt during April were distributed by model year as follows: 2023 models accounted for 871 units, 2024 models for 1,419 units, 2025 models for 9,995 units, 2026 models for 48,721 units, and 2027 models for 1,680 units.
Manufacturer Sales Ranking in April
In terms of manufacturer sales ranking (including passenger cars, trucks, buses, and other vehicles), Nissan topped the list with 2,993 units, followed by Chevrolet with 2,429 units, and MG with 1,608 units. Chery ranked fourth with 1,481 units, Jetour fifth with 1,131 units, Mercedes sixth with 1,064 units, Hyundai seventh with 1,045 units, Toyota eighth with 811 units, BAIC ninth with 793 units, and Soueast tenth with 750 units.
