Two Pathways for Vehicle Replacement

The first option involves handing over the old vehicle to authorities in exchange for its scrap value, a process familiar from the previous program. The target number stands at 750,000 vehicles for replacement under the new program, according to the former spokesperson — the same figure set for the previous initiative before logistical and economic hurdles brought it to a halt.

Financial Incentives for Manufacturers

Proposed frameworks also include cash incentives for companies producing electric and hybrid vehicles, calculated based on each manufacturer's sales volume. The incentive value would be tied to increasing the percentage of locally manufactured components and achieving high production levels within the Egyptian market.
