Egypt Transforms into Export Hub for Chinese Cars: 4 New Factories on the Horizon

Egypt is setting the stage for a significant shift in its automotive industry. Khaled Saad, Secretary General of the Automobile Manufacturers Association, revealed that several Chinese companies are actively moving toward local manufacturing. The coming period could witness the announcement of major investments, with expectations of steps concerning 3 to 4 new factories by the first quarter of 2027. Moving from Import to Local Production

During his appearance on the "Arabety" program broadcast on Radio Egypt, Saad explained that a number of Chinese brands already present in the Egyptian market are looking to shift gradually from importing completely built units (CBU) to local production.
