Egypt's Commercial Vehicle Sales Report for June: Chevrolet Tops with 2,396 Units
New data from Egypt's Compulsory Vehicle Insurance Pool revealed a significant surge in commercial vehicle registrations for June, with total sales reaching 3,430 units, marking a 35.35% increase compared to May's 2,387 units. This upward trend indicates a strong momentum in the transportation sector as the first half of the year concluded.
Sales Breakdown by Model Year
The latest report showed a clear preference for newer model years, with 2027 model-year vehicles dominating the market at 2,259 units. Next came the 2026 models with 919 units, followed by 2025 models at 157 units, 2024 models at 64 units, and 2023 models at just 31 units. This distribution underscores the market's shift toward more modern, safer, and efficient commercial vehicles.
Top-Selling Brands in June
Chevrolet took the lead with an impressive 2,396 units sold, far ahead of its closest competitor. Toyota ranked second with 146 units, while Mercedes followed with 103 units. Mitsubishi and Nissan rounded out the top five with 93 and 59 units, respectively.
Comparative Analysis: May vs. June
In May, total commercial vehicle registrations stood at 2,387 units, distributed as follows: 49 units for 2023 models, 76 units for 2024 models, 165 units for 2025 models, 875 units for 2026 models, and 1,373 units for 2027 models. The jump to 2,259 units for 2027 models in June represents an increase of nearly 886 units, confirming that fleet operators and businesses are investing in the latest models to optimize performance and compliance with modern standards.
