EGP 6 Billion for Exporters: Third Payment Batch Announced with Timeline
The Ministry of Finance has allocated EGP 6 billion to disburse the third batch of outstanding exporter dues in cash, covering shipments made before July 1, 2024. The move is designed to boost liquidity for companies and enhance their ability to expand into foreign markets.
Third Batch Details and Application Dates
Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk confirmed that export companies wishing to benefit from the third batch of the cash payment initiative can submit their applications from August 16 until October 1, 2026. Disbursement for eligible companies is scheduled for October 22, with total allocations reaching EGP 6 billion.
The program aims to provide exporters with faster liquidity, instead of waiting long periods to receive their dues. This helps companies meet their obligations and finance their production and expansion operations.
Over EGP 80 Billion Paid to Exporters in 6 Years
The finance minister revealed that total payments to exporters have exceeded EGP 80 billion over the past six years. The ministry targets settling all outstanding exporter dues within two years.
Kouchouk also noted that EGP 48 billion has been allocated in the current budget to accelerate export support disbursement. Total export support reached EGP 28 billion in fiscal year 2025/2026, achieving annual growth of 55%.
Export Support and Opening New Markets
The finance minister highlighted ongoing coordination with the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade to develop the export system and stimulate the export sector. Providing cash liquidity represents a key tool for boosting the growth and competitiveness of Egyptian exports.
The government aims to increase export support and promotion allocations year after year, helping Egyptian companies open new markets and expand the global presence of Egyptian products. This step holds particular importance for industrial sectors reliant on exports, as faster dues disbursement can provide additional financing for production and expansion plans, raising the competitiveness of Egyptian products abroad.
