Deepal S07 price drops EGP 75,000 in Egypt with new GB Auto move

GB Auto, the local distributor of Deepal in Egypt, has announced a EGP 75,000 price cut for the S07 SUV, according to the brand's latest official price list. The fully electric S07 BEV version dropped from EGP 2.09 million to EGP 2.015 million, while the extended-range REEV variant followed suit, sliding from EGP 2 million to EGP 1.925 million.

Whole lineup gets cheaper

The S07 belongs to the increasingly crowded midsize SUV segment in the Egyptian market. It's offered in two flavors: a range-extended electric version (REEV) that pairs a combustion engine with an electric motor. A pure battery-electric variant (BEV). Deepal positions this model as one of its key players locally. The new pricing reflects that ambition.

This isn't an isolated discount. GB Auto also slashed prices on the Deepal S05 and the G318 by up to EGP 100,000. The move signals a broader pricing strategy for the Chinese brand in Egypt, where competition among electric and hybrid newcomers has intensified sharply over the past year. Buyers are paying close attention.

High-tech cabin as a selling point

Inside the S07, a rotating 15.6-inch central screen takes center stage, supported by a 540-degree surround-view camera system that makes parking and tight maneuvers noticeably easier. Advanced driver-assistance systems and a full suite of active safety features come standard, raising the bar for what buyers at this price point can expect from a Chinese EV entrant.

Egyptian consumers are gradually warming up to electrified vehicles, driven by fuel price increases and the long-term economics of going electric. A EGP 75,000 reduction moves the S07 closer to the budget of a broader pool of potential buyers who were previously looking at BYD or Geely alternatives. The real test will be range performance and real-world usability, not just the sticker price.
