GB Auto, the official distributor of Deepal vehicles in Egypt, has announced a fresh price reduction for the boxy G318 SUV during August, with the cut reaching EGP 100,000. The move comes after consecutive price hikes in March and April, pushing the model back into a more competitive position within the local automotive market.

The numbers are clear. The Premium trim has officially dropped from EGP 2,151,000 to EGP 2,050,000, a reduction of EGP 100,000 on a single variant. The Adventure trim, which comes with higher equipment levels, saw its price fall from EGP 2,300,000 to EGP 2,200,900, carrying the identical EGP 100,000 discount. This strategic move strengthens the Chinese SUV's position against direct rivals in the four-wheel-drive segment.

REEV Powertrain and Performance Specifications

The Deepal G318 relies on an extended-range electric vehicle (REEV) powertrain, a hybrid system that pairs a conventional engine acting as a generator with electric motors responsible for driving the wheels. All-wheel drive comes standard through two electric motors producing a combined 424 horsepower and 575 Nm of peak torque. Driving range on a single charge reaches 998 kilometers, a figure that outperforms most competitors in its category.
