New Customs Cars Auction: Mercedes, Porsche, and Hyundai Among Offerings

The General Authority for Government Services, affiliated with the Ministry of Finance, has announced a new public auction session on Thursday, September 3, 2026, offering a variety of Mercedes and Porsche vehicles along with BMW, Audi, Toyota, Suzuki, and Hummer models. The cars come from customs at Cairo Airport, Safaga, Nuweiba, and Arish, covering passenger cars, microbuses, and other vehicles from different brands.

Auction Date and Venue

The auction session will take place at 12:00 PM on Thursday, September 3, 2026, inside the Hadarat Sports Club hall on Salah Salem Street, opposite Ein El-Sira traffic office in Cairo. The auction operates under the supervision of the Central Sales Administration of the General Authority for Government Services, with cars sold in separate lots according to the conditions detailed in the auction booklet.

Cars Offered for Sale

The list of cars and vehicles in the auction announcement includes a wide range of brands, most notably: Jeep Grand Cherokee, Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler, Audi, Nissan, Renault, Dodge, GMC, Toyota, Infiniti, Land Rover, Mazda, Chevrolet, Mitsubishi, Ford, Suzuki, Hummer, Hyundai, Porsche, Cadillac, BMW, and Geely.

Auction Entry Deposit

The General Authority for Government Services set the auction entry deposit at EGP 50,000, payable according to the procedures in the terms booklet. The deposit is a temporary fee for entering the auction, and participants must refer to the booklet to understand refund or deduction conditions.

Payment Method for Cars

According to the authority's announcement, the winning bidder pays 20% of the lot's value immediately after the auction concludes, with the remaining amount due within a maximum of 15 days. The sale occurs without commission, and physical inspection forms the basis of the sale, placing responsibility for checking the car and estimating repair costs on the buyer before bidding.
