The General Authority for Government Services in Egypt has announced a new public auction for used cars and various goods from the customs offices of Alexandria, Salloum, and Dekheila, along with goods from the Cairo Airport Customs and the customs of Alexandria, Matrouh, and Dekheila. This auction presents a unique opportunity for buyers seeking luxury vehicles at competitive prices, with a lineup that includes prestigious brands such as Rolls-Royce, Porsche, Mercedes, Land Rover, and Volvo. The auction is scheduled for Thursday, July 30, 2026, and will be conducted through open bidding rather than sealed envelopes, ensuring fair competition for all participants.
Vehicles Featured in the Auction
The vehicles listed in the Alexandria, Salloum, and Dekheila customs auction include a wide range of passenger cars, motorcycles, and excavators. Notable brands include Chevrolet, Porsche, Mercedes, Lincoln, Chrysler, Skoda, and Rolls-Royce. The list also features Peugeot, Mitsubishi, Land Rover, Daewoo, and Volvo, along with used Caterpillar excavators. The condition of these vehicles varies from well-maintained to those needing repairs, offering a variety of options to suit different budgets and buyer requirements.
Goods from Cairo Airport and Alexandria Customs
In addition to vehicles, the auction includes goods from the Cairo Airport Customs and the customs of Alexandria, Matrouh, and Dekheila, such as car tires and batteries. These goods are sold either under import or export tariff regimes, providing traders and workshop owners with the chance to purchase inventory at wholesale prices. This segment adds significant value to the auction, attracting a broad audience interested in automotive parts and accessories.
Participation Requirements and Deposit
The authority stated that the rights of owners of abandoned items are forfeited unless they are retrieved before the auction session is approved. The auction booklet containing terms and specifications costs 400 Egyptian pounds and is available from the General Authority for Government Services at the Ministry of Finance towers on Ramses Street, Tower 2. The entry deposit for the auction is 50,000 Egyptian pounds, with 30% payable immediately upon winning the bid and the remaining amount due within 15 days. Bidders must carry the booklet when entering, and those subject to tax must present their tax card.
Auction Location and Timing
The auction will be held at the Al-Hadarat Sports Club hall on Salah Salem Street, opposite the Ain El-Sira traffic office, starting at 12:00 PM. The authority emphasizes that purchasing the auction booklet is mandatory for entry, and bidders must have it with them at the door. These auctions serve as an ideal platform for car enthusiasts and dealers alike, combining transparency with a diverse range of offerings, and providing the chance to acquire luxury vehicles at prices below market value.
