Engineer Mahmoud Haroun, a car glass industry expert, revealed that Chinese car glass is the most complex to manufacture. The massive development in the Chinese industry requires special equipment to produce this type of glass to the required specifications. Haroun added during his interview on the 'Arabicar' program broadcast on Egypt Radio, that producing Chinese car glass requires the ability to manufacture various sizes and thicknesses. This production flexibility is essential to suit all types and classes of cars spreading in the Egyptian market. He also stressed the need to keep pace with modern and advanced printing technologies used in the glass industry globally.

Production Exceeds Local Needs by 15 Times

The numbers surrounding this complex are truly striking. Haroun explained that the largest industrial complex in the Middle East and Africa, located in Egypt, produces an amount equivalent to 15 times the local market needs of car glass. About 90% of its production is exported to foreign markets, making it a key player in the regional glass industry. This massive production capacity gives Egypt a clear competitive advantage.

Higher Quality and Competitive Prices in Local Market

The car glass industry expert noted that the complex covers local market needs with glass of higher quality than any competitor in the market. The prices offered are very suitable compared to imported alternatives. That strengthens the local product's ability to compete. Trained Egyptian labor and modern infrastructure contribute to achieving this difficult equation. The factory isn't limited to local coverage but also supplies export markets with products exceeding expectations.

Ambitious Expansion Plan Within Five Years

Haroun revealed a major expansion plan aiming to cover all governorates of the republic by establishing a large number of specialized branches and centers. The plan targets reaching at least 30 centers within the next five years, reflecting investors' confidence in the future of local industry. This expansion means more job opportunities and transferring technical expertise to various regions. The Egyptian market is in dire need of such major industrial projects that reduce dependence on imports.
