Chevrolet Leads Egypt's Truck Sales in May
Egypt's truck market is shifting gears. Truck sales across all categories in Egypt grew by 28.8% during May, reaching 3,067 vehicles compared to 2,381 units in the same month last year, according to the latest report from the Automotive Market Information Council (AMIC).
Dominant Performance by Key Brands
The standout number? Chevrolet topped the list of best-selling truck brands in Egypt during May, having sold 2,482 units, a figure that underscores its commanding lead in this segment.
Toyota secured second place with 158 trucks sold, followed by Mitsubishi in third with 108 units, while GMC took fourth with 99 vehicles.
Lower Ranks in the Order
The race for the upper positions remains fierce. Mercedes finished fifth with 82 trucks sold, followed by Nissan in sixth place with 74 units, and Suzuki recorded 45 vehicles.
The gap widens further down. Shacman claimed eighth place with 12 trucks sold, followed by Fiat with just 3 units, reflecting the uneven distribution of demand among brands operating in Egypt's truck sector.
