Chevrolet Leads Egypt Vehicle Registrations in July with 3,169 Units
Chevrolet kept its grip on the Egyptian vehicle registration market in July. The American brand registered 3,169 vehicles during the month, according to official data from the Egyptian compulsory vehicle insurance pool. The numbers confirm the brand's continued appeal among Egyptian buyers.
Top Five Brands
MG secured second place with 1,697 registrations, while Chery took third with 1,646 units. Hyundai finished fourth with 1,574 vehicles, a narrow margin that highlights intense competition among Asian brands. The rankings show a clear preference for affordable and family-oriented vehicles in the monthly licensing cycle.
Positions Five Through Ten
Nissan landed in fifth place with 1,554 vehicles, followed by Jetour in sixth with 1,458 registrations. Toyota came seventh with 1,238 units, while Soueast ranked eighth with 1,209 registrations. The list reflects the growing footprint of Chinese automakers. That have expanded their dealer networks and after-sales services across Egypt at a remarkable pace.
Kia took ninth place with 1,040 vehicles, while Mercedes-Benz rounded out the top ten with 812 units in July. Only one German brand made the top ten, signaling a market shift toward competitively priced brands with readily available spare parts and service centers. These figures offer a clear snapshot of the Egyptian market's direction, dominated by automakers that balance price with practicality.
