Chevrolet Keeps Egypt Vehicle Registration Lead as MG Closes the Gap in July
New data confirms Chevrolet continues to dominate Egypt's vehicle registration market. The latest report from the Egyptian Compulsory Vehicle Insurance Pool shows the American brand registered 3,169 vehicles during July 2026. The lead is clear, yet the race is heating up.
Top Ten Brands Ranked
The real surprise isn't Chevrolet at the top, but how close MG has come to the summit with 1,697 registrations. Chery took third place with 1,646 vehicles, while Hyundai claimed fourth with 1,574 units. Nissan rounded out the top five with 1,554 registrations.
Positions six through ten show a remarkably tight spread. Jetour landed sixth with 1,458 vehicles, followed by Toyota in seventh at 1,238. Soueast secured eighth with 1,209 registrations, then Kia ninth at 1,040. Mercedes closed the top ten with 812 vehicles.
Reading the Market Signals
This report paints a picture of a multi-polar competitive landscape across the entire Egyptian automotive sector. The close numbers between brands suggest buyers are diversifying their choices more than ever. MG in particular keeps narrowing the gap with the leader, a trajectory that could reshape the standings soon.
These figures cover all vehicle types, not just passenger cars. That makes the comparison more comprehensive, especially with brands like Chevrolet offering a wide model lineup. Upcoming months will reveal whether MG can break the dominance, or if the American marque extends its reign even further.
