Egypt's truck market experienced a remarkable uptick in April, with sales surging by 43.4% compared to the same month last year. According to the latest report from the Automotive Market Information Council (AMIC), total truck sales across all categories reached 2,668 vehicles, up from just 1,860 units sold in April 2024, signaling a strong recovery in commercial vehicle demand within the local market.
Chevrolet Leads with a Massive Margin
American brand Chevrolet topped the list of best-selling truck brands in Egypt during April, recording an impressive 2,126 units sold. This commanding figure not only secured the top spot but also surpassed the combined sales of all its competitors, underscoring Chevrolet's firm dominance in this vital segment. Toyota came in second with just 126 trucks sold, followed by GMC in third place with 112 units, and Suzuki which sold 85 vehicles.
Competing Brands Ranking
In the subsequent positions, Mercedes secured fifth place with sales of 62 trucks, followed by Volvo in sixth with 39 units, and Nissan which sold 35 vehicles. Rounding out the top ten were Mitsubishi in eighth place with 29 trucks, and Foton in ninth with 20 units.
